We have a new project in Las Vegas developing gardens for people who are struggling to keep food on the table. We are doing the same in Laos and in Egypt. We need an expert to help us figure out what would be the best plants to grow to feed the family, as well as, what will work in the different climates. Our organization raises the money and will put in as much effort as needed for the project. In our organization 100% of the money raised goes to the project and we all pay our own expenses. If you would like to join our organization or advise us, please contact us ASAP. If a consultant fee is required we understand and will raise the needed funds within our members. I’m not sure if this is the best place to ask this question so if there is a place where anyone out there thinks would be a good place for us to find our expert please let us know that information as well. Thank you for your consideration. Stephen White powerwithpower@gmail.com
Hi Stephen,
It’s always best to connect with people in these communities who are already doing horticultural work to see what local resources are available and what expertise on crops they can offer. In the Las Vegas area, check with the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension office–it looks like they offer expertise and guidance on growing food crops in your area. Good luck!
Thank you Elizabeth, We will call them tomorrow.
Looks like an interesting and very helpful column- nice timing as so many people are turning to their gardens this year, I hope the trend continues. Happy gardening to you.
